The Music: Described as New Age Classical, Jonathanís music posses a drama and intensity that is to be felt as well as heard. With a synergistic combination of classical sophistication and his own unique style of ethereal quality, Windows contains music for the present age and beyond.

The Composer: Jonathanís love for programmatic music emerged at an early age when his favorite things to share with his fourth grade class was the ëGrand Canyon Suiteí by American composer Ferde Grofe. Having vacationed at the Grand Canyon, young Jonathan was intrigued by his recognition of the connection between the music and the auditory images it painted.

Jonathan spent his youth immersed in a thriving musical environment. His parents founded and ran the renowned Four Muses folk club in San Clemente, California, exposing him to the talents of such artists as Jackson Brown, Hoyt Axton, Steve Martin and Linda Rondstadt. The surrounding influences eventually allowed him to discover his own ability to compose music and lyrics.

From his interest in folk and rock and his involvement in gospel music in the 70ís, Jonathan went on to release his first album. He then proceeded to earn a college degree in music education, during which time he developed a love for the works of the great masters. Under the direction of his composition instructor, Don Walker, Jonathan developed his arranging skills.

In "Windows", Jonathan states, "I tried to pull from all my musical influences and write music that would create visual images and, hopefully, inspire the soul."

The Director: In 1992, Jonathan Jenkins founded the Capistrano Chorale, starting initially with ten students and a dream. Now with well over fifty members and standing-room only concerts, the directorís dream of a community-based organization that would bring quality choral music to the Capistrano Valley and beyond has become a reality. Jonathanís truest gift seems to lie in the discovery and nurturing of the individual talents of his choral members. The directorís love and dedication to this endeavor result in one of the finest choral performances in the nation.
