Garland's dynamic drum playing
ranges from jazz influences to the heavier rock fusion styles. His aggressive
to progressive style fascinates audiences.
He incorporates electronic sequencers and samplers within his acoustic
drum kit. Some of his accomplishments include performing at Mile High Stadium
in Denver, Colorado, the Elevox Jazz Competition, and the South By Southwest
Music Showcase in Austin, Texas. He also received placement in the Colorado
Songwriters Awards album two years consecutively.
Garland endorses Yamaha drums and Zildjian cymbals. The behemoth drum kit
"800 cubic feet" is supported by "Voelker" rack system
and has DrumKat electronic percussion.
Garland enjoys blending acoustic drum textures with electronic motifs.
